Love Wednesday: A heart of Honour

ree

It’s another Love Wednesday, and today, we will consider the story of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.

These men, along with 250 leaders of the community, rose up against Moses and Aaron, questioning the authority God had placed upon them. They said:

“You have gone too far! The whole community is holy, every one of them, and the Lord is with them. Why then do you set yourselves above the Lord’s assembly?”

— Numbers 16:3 (NIV)

Their rebellion was not against Moses, but against God who had chosen him. And the Lord showed His judgment in a fearful way:

“As soon as he finished saying all this, the ground under them split apart and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and their households…”

— Numbers 16:31–32 (NIV)

Ingratitude and dishonor blinded them to the grace of God upon Moses. Instead of being thankful for His deliverance and leadership, they allowed pride, envy, and complaint to consume them.

Now pause and reflect.

Where have you allowed dishonor to creep into your heart?

Have you found yourself speaking against those God has anointed?

Have you been like Korah and his followers—or like one who submits and gives thanks?

It takes a different kind of grace to honor God’s chosen vessels.

It takes deep love to recognize His authority and remain humble before it.

Today, may your heart be full of gratitude.

May your lips be filled with thanksgiving, not complaint.

May you walk in honor, humility, and reverence for what God is doing in His people.

You are Favoured!

You are preserved!

We love you!

God bless you!

A TIME WITH ABBA ❤
