Love Wednesday: Acting on your Victory

ree

Have you ever needed help with a chore or task? Can you cast your mind back a few months or years and picture how much you needed that help? Did you get it? How much trouble could you have gotten into if you hadn’t received help at that particular time?

In this week’s edition of Love Wednesday, We are filled with great joy as we share with you Acts 3:7-8 (NLT):

“Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened. He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk!”

Jesus Christ lived an exemplary life while He was on earth—a life completely devoid of bondage, sickness, and lack, to mention a few. Therefore, no child of Abba should live in bondage because we are joint heirs with Christ. As a result, we share in the inheritance of Jesus Christ. This gives us a clue that our lives can be like His too.

Looking at our anchor scripture for today, a door of healing was opened to the lame man, who had been crippled all his life, at the Beautiful Gate when Peter and John passed by and prayed for him. He received great help when Peter didn’t just stop at praying for him but also took him by the right hand and helped him up. Then, the lame man’s healing was made whole when he acted upon it.

Verse 8 of Acts 3 says:

“He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk!”

We are in our Year of Open Doors and our Month of Great Help. We have established in previous weeks that doors come in different forms. How many times has God caused a door to open for us? How many times has He sent help to further aid in opening these doors?

Open Doors and Great Help—what a powerful combination for anyone actively looking unto God for breakthroughs, answers, and victory!

At A Time With Abba, we have been praying to God for mercy, and we trust Him for answers to our prayers. But what we do after our prayers have been answered is just as important as what we did to receive those answers.

When doors open to you by the help you have received from God, you need to act on that help—just like the lame man. He jumped, walked, leaped, and praised God. If he had refused to act on his healing—if he had not exercised his once-weak ankles and feet that had received strength—his victory might not have been permanent.

Take a look at King Jehoash in 2 Kings 13:19. A great door (total victory over Aram forever) was opened to him. He was already guaranteed a win over that particular battle when he received instructions (a great help) from Prophet Elisha. However, he lost the battle because he failed to act on his victory.

Today, decide that it is time to put a permanent stamp on your year. Stand firm. Fully key into the theme for this year. Claim the theme for this month, and by God’s mercy, you’ll have the best year yet!

You are favored!

You are preserved!!

We love you!!!

God bless you!!!!

A TIME WITH ABBA ❤
