Proverbs 11:25—“A“ generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”
Life is a journey filled with seasons of strength and moments of weakness. There are times when we stand firm, and there are times when we need the covering of others. But the beauty of God’s design is that as we cover others, we too are covered by Him.
We often think strength means doing things alone, but even the great King David needed covering. In 2 Samuel 21:15-17, David was exhausted in battle, and a Philistine giant sought to kill him. But Abishai, one of David’s mighty men, stepped in and saved him. The Israelites then told David,
“You must not go out to battle with us again so that the lamp of Israel will not be extinguished.”
David was a warrior, a man after God’s heart, yet he needed covering. If mighty David needed protection, how much more do we?
Covering is not just about physical protection—it is spiritual, emotional, and even financial. When you cover others, God ensures you are reloaded.
Look at Job 42:10—Job was restored after he prayed for his friends. His covering of others led to his own reloading.
Even Abraham, in Genesis 18:1-14, covered strangers by offering them hospitality. Little did he know that in doing so, he entertained angels, and their response was a divine promise:
“By this time next year, Sarah will have a son.
The servant in Matthew 18:23-35 was forgiven a massive debt but refused to show mercy to someone who owed him far less. His lack of covering led to his own downfall.
When you hold back what God has given you—whether love, help, or resources—you shut the door to divine reloading. God will not cover those who refuse to cover others.
True covering is not transactional. It’s not about expecting something in return but about fulfilling God’s call to be our brother’s keeper. Jesus himself demonstrated this when He covered us with His life, expecting nothing but our salvation in return.
Ask yourself
• Who has God placed in my life that needs my covering?
• Am I holding back what God has given me to refresh others?
• Am I trusting that as I cover others, God will reload me?
May the Lord grant you the grace to cover those around you. May He send men to cover you in times of need. And as you pour out, may you be reloaded with strength, favor, and divine help.
You are favored!
You are preserved

God bless You!!
