Love Wednesday: GO WHERE YOU ARE SENT!

ree

Many times, we desire to serve God, but are we truly willing to go where He sends us? Obedience to divine direction is key to fulfilling God’s purpose in our lives. When God gives an instruction, He sees the full picture, even when we don’t.

A perfect example is Philip in Acts 8:26-40. Philip was in Samaria, where revival was breaking out—miracles, healings, and great joy filled the city. But in the midst of this powerful move of God, an angel instructed Philip to leave and head toward the desert road leading to Gaza. It may not have made sense to leave a thriving ministry for a lonely road, but Philip obeyed without hesitation.

On that road, he encountered an Ethiopian eunuch, a high official of the queen of Ethiopia. This man was reading Isaiah but did not understand it. Philip, led by the Holy Spirit, explained the gospel to him, and right there, the eunuch believed and was baptized. Because Philip obeyed, the gospel reached Africa through this influential man!

What if Philip had refused to go? What if he had argued with God, choosing to stay in his comfort zone instead? God’s instructions don’t always make sense in the moment, but obedience always leads to greater purpose.

The same applies to us today. Sometimes, God calls us to unfamiliar places, unexpected assignments, or situations that seem inconvenient. But Isaiah 55:8-9 reminds us:

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

Are you willing to trust God, even when you don’t have all the details? Are you ready to go where He sends you, knowing that He has already prepared the way?

Like Philip, let us be quick to obey. Because where God sends you, His grace will sustain you, and His purpose will be fulfilled.

You are favored!

You are preserved!

We love you!

God bless you!
