Love Wednesday-GOD OF REPEATED LOVE

Joshua 4:23 (NLT) says

“For the Lord your God dried up the river right before your eyes, and he kept it dry until you were all across, just as he did at the Red Sea when he dried it up until we had all crossed over.” — Joshua 4:23 NLT

This verse is a powerful reminder of the steadfast love of God showed through His faithfulness and care for His people. The act of drying up the Jordan River so the Israelites could cross safely into the Promised Land is more than a display of power—it is a testament to God’s deep and unwavering love.

Just as He had done earlier at the Red Sea when Moses was leading the Isrealites, God once again made a way where there was no way with Joshua at the helm to show that their breakthrough wasn’t down to one man but God himself. This repetition of miracles is not coincidental. It reveals a consistent pattern of love: God does not abandon His people when they face barriers. Instead, He steps into the impossible and creates paths of deliverance. His love is not a one-time event but an ongoing presence.

This verse invites us to see God as a loving Father who walks with His children through transitions, dangers, and uncertainties. He doesn’t just lead from afar; He’s always right there, intervening directly and personally. The drying up of the river was not for God’s benefit—it was for the people. It was a sign of His care, His promises fulfilled, and His desire for them to walk in the fullness of what He had prepared.

Even more, God’s love is not limited. The verse says, “until you were all across.” No one was left behind. His love ensures that every person—regardless of weakness, fear, or delay—is accounted for. He is patient and faithful to bring all His children safely through.

In our lives today, there are “rivers” that seem uncrossable. But Joshua 4:23 assures us that God’s love goes before us.

He wants you to know that He makes a way, and He waits until we have all crossed our peculiar river Jordan, until every heart has seen His faithfulness. Abba’s love for you is not just mighty—it is personal, persistent, and perfect.

I pray that you’ll be reminded of Abba’s love for you so that you can walk through life without fear.
