Love Wednesday: HABITS 2

Instructions, adherence, obedience, and divine direction all work hand in hand. The result they produce is massive. Repeated obedience create a habit, and these habits eventually define a person’s response to life’s circumstances and events.

It was with this understanding that the Bible instructs us in Ephesians 6:11:

“Put on all of God’s armour so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.”

Following divine instructions positions us in a place of security, assurance, and spiritual health. It strengthens our walk with God and protects us from the subtle attacks that aim to weaken our purpose.

Think of it like a manual: the words in a product manual do nothing for the manufacturer — he already knows how the product works because he made it. But for the consumer, it’s the opposite. The only way to maximize the product’s potential is by reading and following the instructions carefully.

In the same way, God — out of His love for us — gave us divine instructions as a strategy to ensure our consistent victory. God knows more than the devil, and through His Word, He has equipped us to win. It would be wisdom, therefore, to follow these instructions continually until obedience becomes our nature.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ help us to adhere to this instruction in Jesus name. Amen
