Love Wednesday: Trusting God beyond the wilderness.

Dear Abba’s Beloved,
Today, we reflect on the story of the Israelites in the wilderness—a story that reveals the danger of ingratitude and unbelief.
God had already delivered them from the hands of the Egyptians. They had seen the Red Sea part, manna fall from heaven, and water gush from the rock. Yet when it came time to trust Him again, they faltered. He asked them to explore the land He had promised, but only two men—Joshua and Caleb—believed His word. The others doubted.
Their lack of trust provoked the anger of God, and though Moses interceded, the consequences of their unbelief could not be erased. They were too short-sighted to see the bigger picture. Their comfort in Egypt had blinded them. They preferred the security of serving their oppressors to the faith required for freedom. They had made their relationship with God transactional—seeking only food, water, and immediate satisfaction, while failing to believe in His eternal plan.
Pause for a moment. What part of your life are you waiting on God, but slowly losing trust? Have you become impatient, comfortable, or transactional in your faith—trusting God only when it feels convenient?
Scripture says in Hebrews 11:6, “Without faith it is impossible to please God.” When we do not trust Him, we not only delay our own journey but we also grieve His heart.
Beloved, do not allow impatience or fear to rob you of the promise. Like Joshua and Caleb, choose to trust in the God who has already proven Himself faithful. He who parted the Red Sea for you will surely bring you into your Canaan.
You are favored.
You are preserved.
We love you.
God bless you.
A TIME WITH ABBA ❤
